Dali Museum

The Dalí Museum (St. Petersburg, Florida) has been the unofficial heart of fine arts in the Tampa Bay area since its opening in 1982. The debut of the new building in January 2011 has contributed to the cultural renaissance – a movement that has experienced an explosion of artistic institutions and outlets that both residents and visitors to the destination can enjoy. The Dalí Museum celebrates the life and art of the influential and innovative artist, Salvador Dalí.  The Dalí Museum celebrates the life and art of the influential and innovative artist, Salvador Dalí.  Visit one of the many exhibits, (our favorite is the Van Gogh or Disney!) Grab a bite to eat at the cafe, walk through the garden maze and take in the tranquility of the St. Pete waterfront.

"Very interesting museum with an excellent Cafe! Stay for some food if you can, and if nothing else get the almond cake dessert (pictured), it's AMAZING. The exhibits were very informative and staff more than happy to share their vast knowledge on all things Dali. Needless to say, I learned A LOT! I also purchased a great necklace at the gift shop on sale for $20! Very happy with our trip and recommend about 1.5- 2 hours here for the full experience."

"I loveeeeeeeeeeeed this museum! The exhibit with his work was amazing. It’s also currently featuring and exhibit with pictures by Lee Miller which are a must see! My friend and I had a snack at the museum cafe which was actually really good! I loved their tortilla Española and sangria! They don’t allow backpacks or large bags, but they offer a free locker where you can safely store your belongings. The staff were really friendly and are great picture takers 😉 There’s also a lovely gift shop on the main level near the cafe. All in all, a great museum. I highly recommend!"
